DAKOTA, Minn. – A Dakota garage shop and adjoining house were beyond saving when firefighters from five volunteer departments arrived Tuesday afternoon.  It was a total loss, said Sheriff Ron Ganrude. The cause remained the subject of investigation, he said. The garage, at 760 River Street.  housed Precision Tool and Cutter Sharpening Co. Responding fire Departments were from Dakota, Pickwick, La Crescent, Ridgeway and Nodine.
