WINONA, Minn. – Early-retirement packages have been accepted by 14 profs at budget-strapped Winona State University. Financial vice president Scott Ellinghuysen said the buyouts will ease the university’s projected $6 million budget shortfall next year. In addition, 10 other nonfaculty employees took buyouts. The buyout packages ranged up to $180,000.
