WINONA, Minn. – The Jazz Jam will continue at the Island City Brewing’s Levee patio on Sunday with impromptu volunteers performing with the anchor H30 Jazz Trio. The event: 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Organizers said donations will be matched by Island City and H30 and go to the Project Fine outreach for cultural newcomers. The last Jazz Jam drew 11 performers ad generated $510 for Winona Volunteer Services.
Family music. The H3O Jazz Trio is comprised of Saint Mary’s University music prof Eric Heukeshoven and sons Hans, a software engineer, and Maxx, who’s intent on law school. They began playing together when Hans was 14. Their first gig was a pool party 10 years ago. H3O performs a wide variety of jazz syles including original music.
