WHITEHALL, Wis. – A motorcyclist hit a deer and was thrown from his bike and injured fatally. The Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office said that Gary Heath, 74, was traveling north on County Road O north of Whitehall. He was airlifted to a hospital where he died. Officers said he was not wearing a helmet. The accident was about 8:50 p.m.
