NEW YORK – The business magazine Fortune added Winona-based Fastenal to its annual ranking of U.S. companies. With revenues of $5.6 billion, Fastenal was 479th for its inaugural listing. Altogether the Fortune 500 corporations generated $13.8 trillion in revenue, or some two-thirds of the U.S. economy. Leading the 2021 ranking: Walmart at $559.1 billion revenue, Amazon at $386.1 billion, and Apple at $274.5 billion.
