WHEELER, Wis. – The father of one of the people found murdered in an abandoned vehicle near the Sheridan townhall remembered her as a lovable mother and daughter. She was “a beautiful person inside and out,” Damone Presley Sr. said at vigil outside the townhall. He said he felt his daughter Nitosha’s presence the moment he drove into the townhall’s gravel parking lot – within eyesight of where her body and those of three friends werw found Sunday. He said he had no idea how the four friends ended up dead 70 miles from home. Presley called himself bewildered and furious. Local people, none of whom knew the victims, brought balloons and candles to the vigil. The balloons were released at sunset. Sarina Buck said she wanted to show support. “It hit me hard,” Buck said. A Twin Cities peace activist and consoler to grieving families, K.G. Wilson. thanked the Wheeler community for coming out. About the victims Wilson said: “They didn’t deserve this. This family didn’t deserve this. These young people didn’t deserve this.”
