ALBERT LEA, Minn. – When a Walgreens cashier realized the guy had walked out without paying for $4,000 on rechargeble cards, she followed him to his car, jumped in, and refused to get out until he gave her the cards back. Police said the man, befuddled, drove off with the cashier still in the car – all the while begging her to get out. Finally he circled back to the store, surrendered the cards, and she indeed got out. By then, police had been alerted. After a brief chase, they arrested Devon Henry Smith, 45. Kansas City, Missouri. Any idea who will be Walgreens’ Employee pf the Month this time? Police didn’t release her name.
