PALM BEAH, Fla. – Former President Donald Trump, who believes somehow that he’s still president, summoned Kyle Rittenhouse to his Mar-a-Lago club house for a photo-op. It was the latest attempt by Red Wing extremists to lionize Rittenhouse, who killed two people and wounded a third with an assault-rifle during social justice protests in Kenosha 16 months ago. Despite the facts against him, Rittenhouse was acquitted by a Kenosha jury two weeks ago. Since then, although he claims to be laying low, Rittenhouse has eaten up praise from gun-rights advocates:
> Censured Congress member Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Georgia, nominated Rittenhouse for the Congressional Medal of Honor. There were no seconds.
> Scandal-tainted Congress member Matt Gaetz, R-Florida. promised Rittenhouse a job as a House page. Rittenhouse has yet to finish high school.
> The bewildering chaotic Fox News host Tucker Carlson lined up Rittenhouse for an exclusive interview and began assembling a documentary.
> The twice-impeached Trump invited Rittenhouse to the former vacation White House. Only a staff videographer was there.

Rittenhouse at Trump’s side. Facing life imprisonment as a vigilante one moment, a right-wing hero the next. Heady stuff for an 18-year-old.
