ROCHESTER, Minn. — A Winona man was sentenced to five years of prison for his involvement, no matter how hazy, in a shooting in Rochester last year. The sentence for Dashaun Pittman, 23, was for illegal possession of a firearm. In the incident a 22-year-old man suffered a keg wound in a confrontation outside a home in southwest Rochester. Pittman admitted waving a gun around when, he said, it “accidentally went off.” The victim said a second assailant, Davoren Broussard, 29, of Coon Rapids, pointed  a gun at his face and threatening him just before he was shot. Brossard is awaiting sentencing.
