WINONA, Minn. – The chair of the Winona County Board, Chris Meyer, does. not see a majority yet for a CoVid mask mandate – even though the virus is in a rampant growth mode and even though local governments elsewhere are going with mandates. The Board refused in October to require face masks. In an interview with the Winona Daily News, Meyer, who favors a mandate, said: “I have had exchanges with a couple of hundred folks expressing what I can only characterize as outrage over the prospect of mask or vaccine mandates. To those folks I extend only my care and love because your anger will not protect you.”
