WINNEBAGO, Minn. – A wheelchair-bound man’s electric scooter got stuck on railroad tracks at a crossing as a train was bearing down on him. He managed to crawl away just in  time —  seconds before the Burlington Northern Santa Fe freight smashed into the scooter. Darryl Garman, 57, of Winnebago, was unhurt but taken to the Blue Earth hospital for examination to be sure. The accident was about 12:30 p.m. on Highway 168 at Fourth Avenue Southeast. The BNSF line is a 280-mile main line linking St. Paul and Sioux City.
