PRESTON, Wis. – A driver who took to ice-covered Big Roche A Cri Lake to reach a boat ramp misjudged the ice thickness and crashed through. Deputies said the driver, age 25, got out wet and cold but unhurt. This happened under a Highway 13 bridge about 10:30 a.m. A towing company retrieved the pickup.
Stay off ice. After the accident Adams County Sheriff Brent York advised the public to avoid the ice near the bridge.
