INDEPENDENCE, Wis. – Hundreds of kids 3 to 13 with rods and hooks lined the old Bugle millpond for the annual Independence Kids Fishing Contest . To be honest, the youngest anglers had lots of help from mom and dad the grandfolks. The Independence Rod and Gun Club, sponsor of the event, had prizes for every kid who caught a fish. Yes, the legendary Old Bugler, as he’s known, is the one who again got away.
