WINONA, Minn. – Mid West Music Fest, which has staged live events at bars, parks and other venues since 1992, is going virtual. Thank you, COVID-19. Organizers said this summer’s lineup will be digital concerts May 8 and 9. In a webpage announcement, the organization said: “We feel this is not only a way for us to contribute to that effort, but also to support musicians who are largely not able to perform and make a living during this time.” Artists will be paid through a Minnesota Legacy Amendment grant and the support from sponsors.
