KELLOGG, Minn. – A Rochester man was injured in a two-car collision just north of Kellogg and taken 45 miles by air ambulance to a Rochester hospital. It was believed that injuries to David Clarence Paxton, 79, were not life-threatening. The accident was about 11:45 a.m. where County Road 18 takes off up the Zumbro River from State Highway 61. Police said that Paxton was northbound on Highway 61, heading toward Wabasha, He was driving a 2022 GMC Acadia. In the other car, a 2006 Ford Econoline van, were Ramiro Ortiz Alvarado, 50, of Ham Lake, and Ramiro Ortiz Alvarado (same name), 21, also of Ham Lake. They were taken five miles by ground ambulance to the Wabasha hospital. Their injuries appeared less than serious, police said. The Alvarados were eastbound at the intersection, police said.
