FOUNTAIN CITY, Wis. – The principal at the Galesville high school is moving 20 miles up the road to become superintendent of the 620-student Cochrane-Fountain City School District. Troy White succeeds Jo-Ellen Fairbanks, who is going to to the Luxemburg-Casco schools near Green Bay. White, 51, has been with the Galesville-Ettrick-Trempealeau district since 2014. He holds a bachelor’s degree in education and coaching from UW-Eau Claire and a master’s in educational leadership from Viterbo in LaCrosse. Other finalists were Dawn Lueck, principal at Washington-Kosciusko Elementary in Winona, and Sarah Tobiason, an elementary principal Decorah, Iowa.
