WINONA, Minn. – With the special MN-1 Congressional election less than two weeks away, the Winona County Democratic chair, Jim Worthley, had a brisk business at the Farmers Market at the Levee. He had too many requests for yard signs for Jeff Ettinger at the DFL booth and had to send a runner to the  party headquarters a block away at the Kennsington building to replenish his supply. In the August 9 election, Democrat Jeff Ettinger of Austin and Republican Brad Finstad of New Ulm are running to fill out the unexpired term of the late Jim Hagedorn. Minnesota’s First Congressional District has been without representation since Hagedorn died in February.
