WINONA, Minn. – A Kellogg woman escaped serious injury when her car was rear-ended and flipped on the East Side. June Marie Newman , 66, was taken to the Winona hospital with injuries that seemed non-life threatening, police said. The accident was about 11:35 a.m. near Winona Volunteer Services in the 400 block East Third Street. Newman was stopped to turn when a car driven by Cory David Kirkeby, 48, of Winona, came from the rear. As Kireby attempted to avoid impact, his vehicle caught Newman’s. It rolled on its side.
