WINONA, Minn. – Three police officers tackled a naked and erratic Winona man looking for a fight in a residential East Side neighborhood. This was about 1:15 p.m. Police took Brett Alan Williams, 30, to the hospital for a check of mental stability and possible intoxicants or overdosing. Charges await him of indecent exposure, disorderly conduct, and resisting police. Neighbors in the 450 block of East fifth Street, where Williams lived,  had called police about a naked man in the middle of the street yelling to fight anybody and everybody. When police arrived he was in a backyard, now clad only in a shirt. Police said the man switched from lucidity, when he admitted to the nakedness and begged officers for help – and then gyrating to belligerence and yelling for how many officers wanted to fight him. When police tried hand-cuffing him, the man resisted. That’s when officers took him to the ground and restrained him for a trip to the hospital.
