MELROSE, Wis. – A 71-year-old man suffered significant injuries when he struck a deer with his motorcycle. Robin Hanson was airlifted 40 miles to a LaCrosse hospital. The accident was Monroe County, southeast of Melrose on Highway 71 near Blacktrail Road. The highway was closed about an hour after the crash.
