CHASEBURG, Wis. – An Amish buggy overturned at a backcountry crossroads, injuring a 23-year-old passenger from Genoa. The passenger was taken in serious but non-life threatening condition to a LaCrosse hospital 20 miles away. Vernon County deputies said the horse pulling one buggy was spooked by a farm tractor and swerved around into another buggy, which rolled into the ditch. This was about 2:10 p.m. at County Road O and County Road K. The buggies’ drivers, age 20 and 17, also with Genoa addresses, were unhurt.
