WINONA, Minn. – A Winona man whose driver license had been revoked was spotted driving at Sarnia and Johnson streets by a police officer. The officer pulled him over. As the officer approached, he said, the driver fidgeted in his seat. Then, as he attempted to remove the driver from the vehicle, the driver threw a metal container beneath the seat, the officer said. Inside, the officer said, was a powdery substance that tested positive for cocaine. The officer also found another white powdery substance on the driver, which also tested positive for cocaine. Several hypodermic needles were in the car, the officer said. Timothy John Holzer, 47, of Winona, was arrested and referred for drug possession and driving after revocation. The arrest was about 8 a.m.
