MINNEAPOLIS — Veteran Minnesota sports columnist Sid Hartman, who kept writing three times a week after his 100th birthday, sometimes four, died at 100-1/2. He began at the old Minneapolis Times in 1945. In all, he wrote more than 21,000 columns. Since 1981 he also was co-host of a radio sports show on WCCO-AM in Minneapolis.
