CHETEK, Wis. – The two police officers killed by an armed motorist in a traffic stop were Emily Breidenbach of Chetek and Hunter Scheel of nearby Cameron. The motorist also died. His name was not released immediately. In Chetek friends and family and fellow police officers from miles around draped the Chetek squad car with flowers in remembrance of Breidenbach. In Cameron dozens of well-wishers shared their grief online and on the street. It was the same for Breidenbach. She was a second-generation police officer. When she was growing up, her father was chief of the four-officer Chetek department.
