WASHINGTON – The International Bureau of Expositions named Minnesota to host the 2027 World Expo. The theme: Health and wellness. The host city: The Minneapolis suburb of Bloomington. Governor Tim Walz had met with global ambassadors in Washington, D.C., to promote Bloomington. About Bloomington’s section. Walz said: “As Minnesotans, we don’t like to brag, but let’s be clear: We’re global leaders in health care, medical innovation, and quality of life,” Walz said. Four other cities also had applied:

> Belgrade in Serbia.
> Malaga in Spain,
> San Carlos Bariloche in Argentina.
