WASHINGTON – President Trump blamed Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Attorney General Keith Ellison for using state CIVID regulations to sabotage his scheduled Rochester campaign rally. Trump said he was geared for a 25,000 crowd at the Rochester airport Friday evening but had been limited to 250. He accused Walz and Ellison of “free speech-stifling dictates.” Trump’s net of blame was cast widely, including all Minnesota Democrats. He even blamed Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, a frequent foil. Omar’s district, in Minneapolis, is 80 miles from Rochester.

“Without question, Minnesota Democrats had hoped that the president would simply cancel the event, but he will not allow partisan politicians to deprive people of their First Amendment rights to gather peacefully to hear directly from the president of the United States.”
