WINONA Minn. – A Rochester driver backed into a parked vehicle, got out to inspect the damage, and drove off. So said a witness who called police and described the hit-and-run vehicle. This was about 1:45 a.m. in the 100 block of Market Street. Police stopped the driver, Gilbert Larue Jordan, 49, who admitted to having downed two beers. He didn’t do well in field sobriety tests. His blood-alcohol level tested at 0.08%. He was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and alcohol-impaired driving.
