WINONA, Minn. – An afternoon team leader at the Winona Burger King was punched in the face by an employee she had fired six weeks earlier. The team leader suffered a cut lip. This was about 4 p.m. Police began a search for the assailant, who had fled. Police were told the former employee, a 41-year-old woman, had been fired — also for a physical attack on the team leader. This time, police were told, the former employee charged behind the counter and flung a stack of cardboard cupholders at the team leader and then punched her. The team leader, age 32, told police she didn’t want medical treatment.
