WINONA, Minn. – Like ants circled around a drop of honey, boaters flocked to the largest island of dredged sand downriver from Winona. Some sunned. Some camped. Some boozed. Some did it all on a summer afternoon. The warm spell was forecast to end but Wednesday was still summery in the 70s.
