WINONA, Minn. – An agriculture teacher at Cochrane-Fountain City schools, Christine Jumbeck, was named Person of the Year by the Winona Daily News. She was cited for imagination in keeping a greenhouse fundraising project going during the CoVid pandemic. Instead of waiting until the 3,000 plants were in their full glory for the usual public greenhouse walkthrough and sale, Jumbeck contacted people go make online commitments in advance. Proceeds went as usual  to the school chapter of the Future Farmers of America.

Jumbeck. Her FAA students also visited farms with care packages during the pandemic.
