LEWISTON, Minn. – The perennial Russian irises have emerged with their lavender blossoms with purple veins. It’s a plant of many names. In Britain it’s known simply as ever-blooming iris. In Russia it’s, well, the Russian iris. Elsewhere in Europe it goes by pilgrim iris and Hungarian iris.
