MONTEVIDEO  Minn. – The Army Corps began drawing down its Lac Qui Parle reservoir on the Minnesota River to accommodate the spring snowmelt and head off downriver flooding in the Upper Mississippi basin. By March 15 the reservoir will be 933.0 feet, the Corps said. That’s marginally lower than the current 933.8 feet. The Corps cautioned river and lake users to be alert to sudden changes in depth.
