ROCHESTER, Minn. – Fire destroyed a garage at the Willows and Waters assisted-living apartments in Northwest Rochester. Nobody was injured. Damage was estimated at $250,000. In the garage were a car, lawn mowers and other equipment. A boat parked near the garage was destroyed. Firefighters were called a little after 2 p.m. to the 700 block of Upper Meadow Lane Northwest. They found the garage engulfed in flames. They managed to prevent flames from spreading to attached apartment units. What caused the fire? It’s under investigation.
