ROCHESTER, Minn. – Two vehicles blew up when they collided on Highway14 near the Marion intersection on the East End near Bear Creek. Police said the driver of a pickup truck, Mahad Olow, 41, of Rochester, was turning east into the westbound lanes of Highway 14 and crashed head-on with another vehicle. Oloe was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said. So was the other driver, a 35-year-old Mazeppa woman. There were three boys – ages 3, 5 and 8 – in her vehicle. the oldest of whom also suffered non-life threatening injuries. Olow was ticketed for driving the wrong way.
