RUSHFORD, Minn. – Police arrested a man near the Rushford municipal airfield after a confrontation. At least one shot was fired after police were called about 6:30 p.m. to check whether restraining order had been violated. Details from police were scant, but sources said no one was wounded. The field is atop a bluff four miles northwest of Rushford off State Highway 30. The road to the airfield, which drops down to Peterson on the Root River, was closed into the evening.
