ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Army Corps of Engineers is moving its boating safety exhibit up and down the Upper Mississippi River with an ongoing series of open houses. Visitors will be given a behind-the-scenes view of how the dams and locks work. Hours: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The latest open houses:
> Dresbach, Minnesota: Lock and Dam 7. September 21.
> Guttenberg, Iowa. Lock and Dam 20 September 21. Coincide with the annual GermanFest in Guttenberg.
> Lynxville, Wisconsin: Lock and Dam 9. September 28.
