KENOSHA, Wis. – This guy loves his Tesla and has such confidence that he leaves the driving to its wizardry. The Sheriff’s Office received two reports of a driver sleeping at the wheel northbound on Interstate 94 . A deputy pulled up alongside and tried to get the driver’s attention: “He had his head down and was clearly sleeping.” The deputy pulled back behind the Tesla, lit his flashers and sounded his sirens. Two miles later the driver awoke and pulled over. His explanation? He denied sleeping but, anyway, the auto pilot was turned on. He was ticketed for inattentive driving.
