OSHKOSH, Wis. – An Oshkosh woman who will turn 109 on February 20 has won a battle against CoVid. Yes, 109. Yes, CoVid. Ruth Stryzewski contracted the disease in December and spent weeks in isolation. The activities director at Parkview Health Center, Ingrid Garrison, called Stryzewski’s recovery remarkable. “She’s gaining her strength back and becoming the old Ruth we knew,” Garrison told a television interviewer from WBAY. Her family said Stryzewski’s symptoms weren’t severe enough to require hospitalization.
