MINNEAPOLIS — At least 150 Minneapolis police officers are suffering of post-traumatic stress resulting from rioting that broke out after George Floyd’s death, said personal injury attorney Ron Meuser Jr. That’s roughly one in five. Meuser said that many officers plan to leave the force permanently. Among Meuser’s clients are officers who were at the 3rd Precinct police station, which rioters burned down. At least 13 officers were inside the building, Meuser said, and some wrote final notes to loved ones fearing that they would be killed. Some 3rd Precinct officers, he said, had counted their ammunition to make sure they would have a bullet for themselves to avoid being beaten to death, he said.
