WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. – The sports director at LaCrosse television station WXOW, Scott Emerich, was awarded the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association Tribute Award. Emerich has covered the high school basketball state tournament for 27 years — longer than any other broadcasters. He started covering LaCrosse sports in 1989. His documentary “A Golden Dream,” on the Aquinas boys state high school basketball championship, won the Wisconsin Broadcasters award as best 2003 documentary.
