BYRON, Minn. – A Byron man was beaten with a pipe by intruders at his house after they demanded that he pay them money he owed. A neighbor who witnessed what happened broke up the assault. The assailants fled. The victim called 911, this about 8:30 p.m. The victim was taken to a Rochester hospital with broken teeth and other injuries. Police said they know who the assailants were and were hunting for them. The victim said he didn’t owe the men any money, that it was already repaid. Police identified the victim only as 25 years old.
