HASTINGS, Minn. — A Red Wing man was critically injured in a motorcycle crash on the Highway 316 shortcut between Hastings and Red Wing. William Borcherding, 36, was taken to a St. Paul hospital with life-threatening injuries. police said. Borcherding lost control while passing a car in a no-passing zone, police aid. He was thrown off the motorcycle, a 2016 Harley, when it struck a guardrail. The accident was about 3:10 p.m.
