CRESCO, Iowa – An Iowa motorcyclist arrested near Ostrander in southeast Minnesota after a 90-minute police chase at 95 mph at times has been sentenced to five year in prison. John Paul Laganiere, 28, of Lime Springs, also was fined $1,000. He had a pleaded guilty. The chase, in December, began near Lime Springs when an officer recognized Laganiere as wanted on several warrants. The officer also was aware that Laganiere’s bike hadn’t been registered since 2007. In the end three law enforcement agencies from Iowa and one from Minnesota joined the chase.
