PEPIN, Wis. –A motorcyclist was flown to a hospital with serious injuries after colliding with a grain truck. Witnesses said James R. Malsom, 59 of Maplewood was heading south on County Road D and struck the rear of the truck, driven by Cody J Stallman, 34 of Eau Galle, which was turning onto County Road D near Boyd Spring Road in extreme western Pepin County. Malsom was thrown from his motorcycle and partially run over by the semi-trailer. Authorities believed that alcohol and speed contributed to the crash. The accident happened about 4:30 p.m.
