MINNEAPOLIS — A judge granted permission to an ex-Minneapolis police officer, accused in the slaying of George Floyd, to live in a neighboring state while awaiting trial. The state Department of Corrections had recommended the trans-state option for Derek Chauvin because of safety concerns. Chauvin was required to pre-sign extradition waivers. The restrictions limit him to Wisconsin, Iowa and the Dakotas.
