FOUNTAIN CITY, Wis. – A Red Wing motorcyclist was airlifted out of the bluffs after colliding with a van on curvy County Road M, which connects Bluff Siding with U.S. Highway 95 on the ridgetop to Arcadia. The extent of injuries to Joshua Cichy, 46, were not immediately known, said Buffalo County sheriff’s deputies. The crash threw Cichy airborne into in a ditch. Deputies said that Cichy was northbound on County Road M when he collided with a vehicle driven by Yobahn Barragan-Sotelo, 42, of Fountain City. The collision was on a hill and curve. Deputies concluded that Cichy was speeding and left of center. Neither party had enough time to avoid the collision, deputies said. Barragan-Sotelo, as well as his child in the van, were unhurt.
