HAYWARD, Wis. – The body found in a pickup truck near Hayward Sunday has been confirmed as that of Arcadia Fire Chief Jeff Halvorsen, the sheriff said. The cause of death was not definitively determined pending a full autopsy. Sheriff Doug Mrotek said toxicology tests could take weeks. He confirmed there was no reason to suspect foul play. What Halvorsen was doing 150 miles from home and having left home without explanation remained a mystery.
