HINCKLEY, Minn. — A two-month search for a missing Wisconsin woman ended with the discovery of human remains in a rural area near the Wisconsin-Minnesota border. Private investigators hired by the family said the remains were presumed to be those of Ashley Miller Carlson, 33, of Grantsburg. She disappeared in September. The agency said the remains were in a wooded area off Grace Lake Road 27 miles east of of Hinckley and 30 miles north of Grantsburg. An autopsy was ordered. Carlson was last seen September 23. Her car was found in Grace Lake the next day. She had four young children.
