WINONA, Minn. – A Winona man, Brently Steven Johnson, 57, was cited with burglary after a BB gun rifle and BBs were shoplifted at the Walmart retail superstore on the Far East End. A store detective told police that a display case was pried open and that the thief placed the rifle in his pants. Johnson, who is on a list of unwanted customers at many shops in the Walmart retail area, was carted to jail. Besides burglary, police recommended charges of criminal damage to property, shoplifting and trespassing.  The arrest was about 1:45 p.m.
