SPARTA, Wis. — The Sparta schools superintendent, Amy Van Deuren, who had been accused of bullying teachers and staff, resigned after a four-month investigation. Van Deuren denied the allegations. Even so, the School Board had placed her on administrative leave. The investigation by an outside agency, concluded that Van Deuren “regularly violated” anti-harassment and anti-bullying policies. She is 56.
